Life or Death Initiative: Philadelphia Police Officers Josie and Terry

Josie and Terry, members of the Philadelphia Police Force, joined Tiffany Bacon, host of Praise In The City on Praise 103.9 Philadelphia's Inspiration Station, to discuss the Life or Death Initiative.

The Life or Death Initiative is youth based program, where plain clothes police officers go out into the community, and interact with young people, in hopes of bridging the gap between police officers and the youth.

A variety of different programs/topics are covered that affect today's youth
  • Guns Are Not Toys
  • Murder Victims and Family
  • Peer Pressure
  • Drugs
  • Life Altering Decisions
  • Domestic Violence
  • Rape
  • Having a Want to Live
  • Are you an Asset to the Community
  • Are you a Leader or a Follower

The Life or Death Initiative also offers help with

  • Obtaining Honest Work
  • Referrals for Counseling and Mentoring
  • Education
Some of the programs offered by The Life or Death Initiative use graphic materials to get some of their points across, so there is a limit to who can participate.

Children must be at least 12 years of age and have signed written consent from a parent or guardian
